CERTIFIED ORGANIC & VEGAN
Doglyness products are certified organic and vegan under ECOGEA, an independent certification body made of experts from the industry and academia that follow strict organic guidelines and regulations around ingredients and the manufacturing process.
ECOGEA is the institute for the quality and innovation of natural and organic products, an independent certification body made of experts from the industry and academia.
Ecogea sets a high standard for defining what natural and organic mean.
The ECOGEA standard is a complete collection of strict rules for the certification of natural and organic cosmetics, cleansing products, and fragrances. Only the products that comply with all of the standard's criteria can be awarded the ECOGEA logo. This is why consumers can be assured that products with the ECOGEA logo are higher quality products, verified in detail by a third-party.
To pass the ECOGEA certification,a product's ingredients must:
• Be of proven natural origin. Specifically, the physical and chemical processes must be environmentally friendly. The product must focus on reducing environmental impacts with the use of biodegradable and low eco-toxicity packaging. All while contributing to sustainability standards.
• Meet the composition rule summary: a minimum of 95% of natural ingredients are required. Minimum 10% – 100% of processed natural ingredients from organic agricultural sources (physically and chemically), depending on a product category, is required. Strict limitation regarding synthetic additives with no natural alternatives.

Yes, our products are 100% vegan.
Additionally, we are proud to say that our products are certified vegan by the ECOGEA Institute, which means that they do not contain any animal extracts or animal by-products in the ingredients or the manufacturing process.
A natural ingredient is present in or has been produced by nature – this might be from a plant, animal, or microbial source.
Obviously, the shampoo in your bottle looks nothing like these raw natural ingredients, so how are they produced? To be classed as natural, these ingredients must only be processed by a limited range of simple methods. These methods include physical extraction techniques such as extrusion or filtration or microbiological or enzymatic methods. These processing methods ensure that the original ingredient's properties are maintained and not synthesized into something that would be classified as non-natural. Natural ingredients can also be the result of naturally occurring biological processes or straightforward chemical reactions. The principle behind these processes is to ensure that the natural ingredient can serve its purpose. Without these changes, the natural ingredients alone would not make high-quality, effective products.
An organic ingredient is one that is derived from living organisms containing carbon-based compounds, such as plants. Organic ingredients must be produced without the use of certain chemicals such as pesticides or growth hormones. The principles of organic farming include farming methods that protect the environment, maintain biodiversity and encourage sustainability. When you choose a product that is organically developed, you are benefiting the environment and yourself.
The key differences between natural and organic products are:
• Natural products have natural ingredients
• Organic products have stricter standards
• 'Natural' can be just a marketing trick
• Natural products don't have to respect the same guidelines as organic products
• Prices of organic skincare products will be higher.

There are so many buzz words thrown around daily regarding pet care, and with Doglyness - you know what you are getting and putting on your hands and your dog's skin.
Products labeled natural or organic come with no guarantees unless an independent body certifies them because using and marketing these terms is unregulated. Many consumers wrongly assume these 'natural and organic' products contain minimally processed ingredients and that they don't contain toxic chemicals or artificial fragrances. But unfortunately, due to the lack of regulation within the beauty industry, manufacturers can misleadingly label their products as organic or natural even though they contain processed, toxic, and chemically enhanced ingredients. Therefore, it's essential to always look for a trusted certified organic logo to ensure you are indeed receiving a certified organic product you and your family can trust—anything else is "greenwashing."
Why "certified" matter to us, you can find out here.
The use of natural and organic terms is not regulated adequately.
A manufacturer can use them in advertising a product even if it contains processed chemicals or potentially toxic ingredients. We find this very concerning – dog owners should feel safe knowing that a product classed as organic will contain only non-toxic ingredients.
The best way to feel reassured that you are using the highest quality standard of the product is to look for one which has been certified by a regulatory body.
Here at Doglyness, we are proud to have our products certified as organic and natural by ECOGEA Institute. To gain ECOGEA certification, we needed to meet the following criteria:
• Create a product that is made from a minimum of 95% natural ingredients.
• Use a minimum amount of organic ingredients, which varies according to a product category.
• Use environmentally friendly and sustainable processes in all stages of production and packaging.
• Adhere to stringent limits on the synthetic additives used when there is no natural alternative available.
We are very proud to have exceeded this criterion in many ways – our Ecogea certified Doglyness pet grooming products consist of more than 98% natural and 25% organic ingredients.
Yes, our products are 100% vegan.
Additionally, we are proud to say that our products are certified vegan by the ECOGEA Institute, which means that they do not contain any animal extracts or animal by-products in the ingredients or the manufacturing process, verified by a third party.
We do not test our products on animals!
We love all animals and would never do anything that causes them harm. EU legislation from 2013 states that any new cosmetic products that have been tested on animals cannot legally be sold in Europe, even if the testing itself took place outside of the EU. (And we could not be happier about it!
When choosing Doglyness products for your pet-grooming needs, you can rest assured that the manufacturing process did not include any activities that harmed or killed animals—and it never will!
